You can always start small and expand your range and style when you start to learn more. Knowing that only these notes exist leads some to the following question: why are there 88 keys if there are only 7 notes?

The group of 7 notes is called an octave and the reason why the keyboard has 88 notes is that it comprises 12 of these octaves and a few more notes. So the 7 notes basically repeat again and again, but their pitch changes upwards from left to right on the keyboard.
